Surprised at the lack of love for what Macrae did last night. He showed he's a natural when put on the inside. Some of his tap reads were exquisite, he used his big body to lay a million tackles, I loved it.

We went into the game with our 4 principal inside mids Wallis, Stevens, Dahlhaus and Jong. Of those 4, only Jong struggled and did everything he could to be a physical presence early with no composure at all. What Macrae did was even better than the other 3 who've been doing it week in week out. Awesome effort and great we have him for that. Defence run was brilliant too.

Absolutely. And his disposal isnt good enough for him to be a mostly outside player, even though he can accumulate the ball at will. Im sure he will get more damaging with his disposal and better inside as well and just turn into a really well rounded excellent player for us without being eye-catchingly exceptional in any one particular area. (except maybe an exceptional accumulator)

Fair enough, I didn't think I was that negative, just saying it as it was, like the other 98% of people here, on the whole I am fairly positive and happy with the Bulldogs progress under Luke Beveridge.
