Nah dude, I was only kidding, it just reminded me of it and it gave me a giggle!

And I didn't think you were totally deaf, are you?

I mean are you able to hear TV and music, or is it to dull to really hear, because you could hear me last week at the Intra club... or were you reading my lips?

(Has an idea, must take Tambo to party for lip reading;).. another Seinfeld episode there)

im not totally deaf, but with out my hearing aids i cannot hear, if that makes sense? i can pretty much hear everything with the aids but sometimes not work out what people say.... but im am a really good lipreader, but i need a sound to go with it to be able to understand, most times. on tv i cant allways see the person talking therefor i struggle..... this is where i believe i become so passionate about sport and the tiges, because you dont need to be able to hear to enjoy a game of footy, but suprisingly i do understand the commentators, probs because i know the players names in most clubs. soz if i bored any one. wooo hooo! only one exlamation mark. :D

go tiges!

Well I never even noticed you were reading my lips, and would never have had a clue you were deaf unless you mentioned it.

As for the footy, I imagine you'd feel the raw energy and power coming out of the crowd more than people with full hearing.

I remember a game I went to a few years ago at the G at near the siren instead of cheering, I decided that when the siren went Id close my eyes and try and soak in all the energy of the crowd. It put me on a natural high for about 24 hours where I was full of energy.
I imagine you'd be able to pick up a similar energy just from your extra senses compensating.

yer not so bad being deaf, i never saw myself any different, nobody has ever exluded me from them and i have high confidence levels! hehehe, i go to a normal skool, each year i keep getting asked to leave and go to a disabiltiy skool, but always disagree, its not like im failing or anything (english c+, A,A+,A+ in my four sacs) . but it is good in a way with sport cause i get to play in dissability comps. ten pin bowling i made the disabilty state team (yes money prizes), played the rest of australia in the junior nationals and was 30 pins short of the australian record!!!!! and just missed the deaflypics(olympics for the deaf) by 28 pins.... so hopefully get another krak in 4 years time! and also one step below the state level in bball. so not to bad. :D

soz bout this thread cario, changed topic! :D

Future Australian Gold Medalist! ;)

hhehehe! i wish! but the bowling equptment cost so much,

pair of bowling shoes $200+ (growing-new pair each year or 2)
bowling balls $500 min - $2000 (new) usually have 2 balls (strike ball and spare ball)
bowling ball bag $200-800
powder 10 bucks, shoe repairs 50 bucks, repair of ball each 4 weeks- 10 bucks
all these other things. each game 7 bucks min (all adds up)
olimpic village $2500 not including air fairs etc

so it cost to be good.
