Hey guys

Just letting you know that you should be really excited about Ayce.

I have seen a lot of him, as he goes to my school. He has really strong hands, beautiful set shot, reasonable speed, good endurance and a big leap also. I honestly think more clubs should have nominated for him.

IMO will be really similar to Dean Cox, but better up forward.

He oozes leadership and just for the record, will get >96 on his enter score.

The only problem is, will he spend more time up forward or in the ruck. Oh yeah, he's really skinny also!

Cheers kcf - I'm not sure if this is too much of a problem though, given our forward line is short as it is.

Hah, i wish i could get 96 enter :(. I am on track for about 80ish but its really too hard to tell considering the final exams is what really counts. Speaking of which they start next friday.....:(.

Anyway thanks for the info, Cordy will be a great player for the club but needs a good hand full of pre-seasons in the gym bulking up, because at the moment the mere wind can send him off balance.

All the best to you for next friday in your exams Koudogg. :)

And also all the best to all our other bulldog supporters who are doing exams.

Thanks for the insight KCF. It was an interesting read. What type of guy/kid is Ayce?

Good luck! Try you're best but at the end of the day as long as you get a score that allows you to do what you want to do then that's all that really matters.
You can start by logging off Bigfooty :p

Mate, you're ENTER score is important but it's not the end of the world, trust me.

I finished Year 12 in '99 with an ENTER of 82.1, got accepted into uni and all these years later I've got a degree and a great job.

It doesn't matter how high your score is, it's how hard you're prepared to work that counts.

Good luck with your exams.

PS: Cordy will be a gun!

Don't stress. After going through two degrees and copping a large HECS debt - I realise with in hindsight it would have been a lot cheaper to go through TAFE - and get credits off my degrees. There is always another path regardless of Enter scores.

Thanks for everyones well wishing :).

I am trying not to stress, but i am almost certain i will be nervous come friday morning as i ready my self for a grueling 3 hour english exam :(.

I have already done 2 exams in the mid year (Psychology and Accounting) and they went alright so i am not too stressed, but like i said when the exams come around, thats a different story.

As far as enter not being important i know it is to some extent, but i am really aiming to get 80+. Not just to get into my course (which infact is about needs 75ish), but just for personal satisfaction. Plus my parents mentioned if i get 80+ i can get a sweeeet laptop for gaming and Uni purposes :).

PS. Wonder what subjects Cordy is doing

he is lying, ayce cordy is average just like you.

if you are getting 80 i would suggest you do mining engineering.

150K + start but the boom will last "only" for another 25 years, which is conservative.

i do aero/chem at usyd which needed 95, i got 95 (didn't study a lot at school, just crammed), and see guys who scraped into mining with 85 who are now talking about being millionaires in 5 years time :(.

effort = reward.

you must choose whether your reward is money & material pleasure or your ego & showing off your intelligence to other people.

i am kinda stuck, i like my ego and love money, but you cant have it all.

Ha, even if i wanted to do mining engenering i cant because i don't do methods (cuz i suckzors at maths).

My first preference is Logistics and Supply chain management at RMIT, which is a good course to pick considering the high demand for logistic managers in Melbourne businesses.

Look money is important but it is not everything, if i don't enjoy the job then whats the point?. So i am hoping to enjoy what i do and get good money for it.

He is very..... well, kind of arrogant. Not in your face arrogant but just very confident.

To anser someone elses question, im not sure of his subjects, but i know he does English, Biology, Chemisty and methods. but im not sure of the other one. Maybe specialist maths?

This kid should be a bloody doctor or something lol, those are blooooodyyyy hard subjects to do. Geeez getting >96 enter with those subjects is amazing.

I have a criminal procedure exam tomorrow morning. Good times.

Good luck mate :)

Mate good luck with getting into supply chain management. Not a bad career path to take particularly if you are planning on staying in this country with its growing dependence on imports. I ended up in logistics after doing something completely unrelated at uni the first time around. Thought I hated it at first, then after a while it grew on me, and once I saw that i was in the supply, transport and logistics black hole, it was too late, it had me in its grasp!

After exams if you can look in the mirror and say "I've done the best job I could have" then you are half way there. You may not get into what you want immediately but it will sort itself out. I botched year twelve and now I'm in a masters program.

And good luck to all of the young pups completing their year 12 exams!

Nice to see finally meet someone who is actually doing Logistics and Supply chain management :). I am happy to see it grew on you, lets just hope if i get in the course it can grow on me too, because i would hate to get in and discover i hate it.

I'm not doing supply chain management, more of an MBA type with an international business focus, so obviously supply chain is a major part of it, but I may go down that path later.

There's a fair chance you will hate it (but at least an equal one you will like it), and you may be forced to make a decision between getting it over with, or doing something else. Whatever happens just enjoy yourself mate, and if you think you are wasting your time then think seriously about moving on, but make a decison based on rational thought, not the repercussions of handing an assignment in late or messing up an exam.

By and By, can the mods please change the name of this thread to Career Advice for the Koudog? Poor old Ayce seems to be a second stringer in this one!

Hahahaha ok thanks for that jeemak, i guess we can get back on topic now.

GO ACYE GO!!!

Just before you go back to how skinny Ayce is and how smart he is. Ill let you know how good TAFE is and how important effort is.

I was doing English, Methods, Spec Maths, Physics, and Visal Com and had big sights set on moving to melbourne from a small country town. I was aiming for well over 80 and going into Civil Eng.
I stuffed my exams and got well below 70 (i struggled with english and i put alot of my time into it).
Someone suggested TAFE, so i applied and got in and i have never looked back since.
Im about to complete my second and final year at TAFE, then im over to uni to go into 3rd year (i think i have to do 2 classes from 2nd year) but im exactly where i wanted to be and i have saved myself around about $14000 in HECS.

This makes me happy! I just hope i get above 70, can't wait till the next month is over! so much studying to do.. it's craz-ee!

I got 87 or so on my ENTER score. I can't remember the exact number. It doesn't matter the second you get into a course at uni though. Once you have done one year you can pretty much transfer to any degree you want and the score is never mentioned again. I got that back in '02 and now I have a great job in Sydney so I doubt I will ever return to Melbourne.

I'm ancient enough to have seen Gary Dempsey play his first game in a night game post season at South Melbourne football ground. Who can remember those? He too was as skinny as a rake. If Ayce can be half as good as Dempsey then we've got a gem.

Big fella loves his dog

But he better start throwing that Geelong looking crud out of his wardrobe.
