I hope this loss has brought 98% of the Carlton BigFooty members back down to earth.

- Judd is not our messiah.
- We will not make finals.
- We are still going through the process of filtering out hacks.
- We have no depth.

4-7 wins and player development is what we are going/hoping to achieve this year. We looked marginally better compared to last year and i just hope it shifts to an exponential improvement.

Ruck and defence will be your major problem this year, as it has been for the last four or so years. Judd showed why he's the best player in the comp last night. All class. But he needs other guys around the share the load.

Plenty of other threads you could have posted this crap in, are you really that special that your opinion must warrant its own thread

Why do we need to be brought back to reality? What reality... do you know where we will finish this year? Please tell as I love to gamble.

What hopeful supporters have said is that we MAY make the finals this year, provided we have a good run with injuries. So far, this has not been the case.

That second half was crap...lets just see how we go next week.

Pretty good assesement there. Rucks really hurt us tonight, once our mids dropped their intensity we got smashed around the clearances. Backline wasn't so bad imo, Jamo had 5 kicked on him but for someone who was outsized and outplayed he looked good ( say the same when he had 6 kicked on him vs Lloyd late last year).

In the end we just lost the plot nearing the end of the 2nd quarter and didn't really regain it. We looked to lose intensity and confidence, I'd rather see us taking the opposition on and busting our arse than this chipping around crap which cost us a bit in the end.

Skills was the major thing, our gameplan is obviously to run and carry the ball and maintain possession which is fine but when you're confidence is down and skills aren't there it doesn't execute as well.

Lastly, we still need to learn not to kick it to Fev all the time, he is almost unstoppable on the lead but in pack situations he's average . At times he was double and triple teamed, and yet we still deliver to him for the ball rebound out just as fast as it came in.

agreed....just watched Judd kick it straight to Fev, who was being double teamed and of course the ball just got knocked away. Our forwards don't seem to lead as much as other teams...we always seem to be kicking to packs.

Lack of contested marking & crumbing up forward killed us.

Kreuzer ,Hampson & Fisher will help with contested marking but crumbing we have nothing.
