I'm sure I'm not alone here but my backline has been royaly screwed this week with Chornes, Thornton & Hurn set to miss for a few each and with question marks now hanging over Pfeiffer and Symes.... My 2 reserves are Selwood and Proud; what do you guys reckon the chances are of those 2 playing this week? I'm thinking Selwood could maybe come in for Hurn at least?

im sharing your pain as well buddy! have chad,hartlett,symes,and selwood allout or injured. apparently selwood was injured in the wafl

Yep, it's fair to say your backline is in the shitter for this week.
Selwood hasnt been exactly killing them in the WAFL, and will Bris change their side. Dont think so...

Get rid of Thornton & Hurn.
Maybe Ibbotson & a quality player.

Pfeiffer got off without a match ban.

I would doubt Proud at this point.
Perhaps Selwood though, Kerr accepted a 3 match ban so thats one out.
Some clouds over Priddis, Hurn, Hunter and Cox.

I would say some rookies may get a shot at some gametime.
but as said above ive heard Selwood hasnt performed so well in the WAFL (and typically AFL players dominate the WAFL games they play), so I guess you'll need to wait and see.
 
Cheers fellas! Yeah, I had my doubts about Selwood I must say.
Thornton and Hurn traded out with Chornes on the bench sounds like the way to go; Ibbotson's a good idea with maybe Osbourne or someone like that....

I'll just have to curl up in a ball and take what's coming my way!

I have to deal with cornes, thornton and poss symes. I have wona and thomson on the bench so sub out cornes, trade ellis for ibbo and trade thornton for either shaw, gilbee, or mccloud. want shaw but if i get gilbee gives me 100k in the bank. so i will have starting this week, wona ibbo. not stressing about symes because kid is a gun. two massive scores over 100 verify this....i hope
 
i cant believe ive gotten away with a full backline for the season so far.

and it could continue.

i have got thornton and chornes. but im trading thornton out for goddard. aand ive got j edwards on my bench and after going through the carlton boards, could be a likely inclusion this week. hope its true cuz ill be stoked.

and pfeiffer should play. no ban and apparently hes one of their few players who actually puts his head over the ball. plus with the amount of injuries they have, cant drop him.
 
i some how mised all the injuries except hartlett but hes on the bench

did i contradict myself?

Selwood did a injury on the weekend but im guessing that due to injuries, he'l come in. This year the backline has been shocking when comparing to mids/fwrds. Im guessing that the top teams from this year would have loaded the back from the start.

phew....got me scared there...now i just hope symes and pfeiffer are named this week

if they do play that would only require me too play pfeiffer and ibbotson with cornes on the bench

Last year I did not make 1 trade in my backline - Carrazzo, Bowden, McPhee, Adcock, Sinclair, Heath Shaw and Roger Hayden all played 22 games. Why I know this is troubling but I do.
 
Is Jake King the real deal this year fellas? With all these outs, worth chucking him back there? His stats have been great so far....

If you dont already have him i wouldnt bother.
Hes probably close to his ceiling price at the moment.

I feel he might perform well in the coming weeks but im unsure on the whole season.
I would probably look at Milburn, Goddard or Burgoyne who are only slightly more expensive. Milburn may infact reach kings price in a week or two
 
Is ibbotson the best option to get as an emergency
I already have Proud and Selwood and Pfeiffer on ground
With Cornes out and possibly Pfeiffer and Symes i def need a back whose playing.
 
I assume you mean your bench is currentl Proud and Selwood with Pfeiffer on ground.
I would assume Pfeiffer would play again, but well see.
And perhaps one of the other two may get a go.
Wait for the teams then look how your standing
 
My backline - CCornes, Bradshaw, McMahon, Gram, Kenelly, McPharlin, Carlile, with Pfieffer in reserve.

Think I'm ok - may everyone else suffer (I'm 3,000 ranking so no threat to the Gun DT's)
