Reading alot of the posts saying we get rid of the Mechano Man. He has to stay. He is in an exclusive group of MFC players who consistantly give 100% every single time he is wearing the red and blue. The same can't be said for the majority of our list. I'm not saying he is in our best 22, but he did enough this year when he had his shot to earn another year.

The question to you all is, how many times was he beaten this year when he got a game at the top level?

I agree with fact we need more quality height down back

Fergusn, holland and co are not the answer...they are not good enough

Rivers isnt a CHB he is best utilised as a third tall zoning off a bit like chad cornes.

We need to find someone who can hold down CHB.Which isnt the easiest position to fill.

I think Chris Johnson should be used as a sweeping rebounding half back much like Yze was back in the late 90's. He's gotta good kick and will be better once given an extented run in the team and confidence to take on opponents.

Rivers can hold down CHB given the chance without injury. I pray he can at least put on a little more weight because that will make him the complete defender.

If we had the team to win the flag Carroll would be a depth player, but we don't have the team, and he has to play at FB until we can find a preferably taller, stronger, faster and ultimately better player to play there.

Frawley may get there (He will still grow a few more cm's) but I don't want to have to rely on him, as he looks more of a Scarlett style player (I'd be stoked if he was 3/4 as good as Scarlett mind you) who will give a lot of rebound out of the backline.

Flashhh, you say Carroll is slow, Fergy is not quick either (Carroll would be faster than him) and Carroll is a lot stronger. Fergy would have more natural ability, but he can't play on the quality KP forwards (Carroll can't really either, but he'll do a better job).

It could be the fact that Carroll just loses his opponent on the lead but he is always 5-10m behind and rarely wins one on ones.

If the club wanting to become success and win the flag as we all do, the move to trade Carroll is right.

The club have Frawley. Why now develop this young kid to replace Carroll? Frawley is the future full back. Plus recruit guys like Staker?

Staker is quick and taller than Carroll and can play both end whereas Carroll can't. Have Frawley as the FB and Staker as support is much better than watching Carroll play.

Staker deserve to wear the 41 guernsey for the red and blue instead of Carroll.

Otherwise, if the club sticking with Carroll in FB, then, there will be more pain, anger and frustration when he give too easy contest, goals etc.

This is just an opinion to look further for the future of the club.

Carroll really isn't that bad. He should be kept and I doubt we'll get Staker anyway. Frawley is a second year player and shouldn't be burdended with the opposing teams best forward. He needs time.
