Good was some passion that returned to the team after quarter time, and the wake up call this offers. There is now a mandate for change.

Bad is the form of some of our midlist players - Brown, Wright, Betts, Petrenko, Shaw.

Ugly is the arrogant way we started the game, assuming that we just has to turn up to outclass them. The coaching staff can warn them and motivate them, but if the playing group is too arrogant to listen you're just wasting your energy.

Good: Melbourne's intensity.

Ugly: ours for most the match.

Lets be honest, the players went into this match in cruise control and didnt fight till the latter half of the third qtr.

They had big fat heads. I think Sando has used this expression before?

Bad: the numbnuts behind me who boo'd Jenkins for not kicking it forwards when he marked it on the wing when there wasn't a single bloody player ahead of him.

JJ has been great in each game this year. I think he is going to only get better.

good:
we didn't disguise our crapness with a dodgy win. now we know what we're really like.
we won the last quarter with 2 injuries and going into a wind. (i know, but i like clutching at straws).

bad:
no point naming names, most of the players.

ugly:
losing to melbourne
bombing the ball in like we have a forward line of ablett, coleman, dunstall, carey, lockett, modra.
pretending betts is 7 foot tall and banging it on his head
heart
we should actually be envious of port at the moment. a far better team than we are.
not turning up to the game until the 3rd quarter.
heart
do we have a game plan? kick it blindly into the forward line. after we go across ground because theres no one forward.

Good: Kerridge shut down Jones.

Was very impressed that Petrenko actually went back with confidence and slotted that late goal. He didn't play well today, but I would have put my house on him missing that. Well done.

Bad/Ugly: Could write a ****ing tome on this, but the two most dissapointing things to me were that we started so badly AGAIN and our kicking for goal. We turned up expecting to win, and completely abandoned the gameplay we'd been using all year. That first half was the worst we've played in years. We returned to our usual gameplan in the second half and actually kicked goals. This is the coach's fault. It's his job to get them prepared to play. This isn't a new issue - we've been doing it every week this year. Sando's performance was disgraceful.

Set shot kicking as been an issue for YEARS. How often do we have more scoring shots and still lose? FAR TOO OFTEN. WHEN WILL THIS BE ADDRESSED?

Oh, one more ugly: Second home game in a row I'd like to say a big FU to sections of the crowd booing our own players. Yes, they were poor. Yes, they made poor decisions. But you have to be a real flog to start booing your own team.

disgusting, I feel sick to be honest (just finished the delayed telecast)

completely lost out there, didn't come to play at all, absolute disgrace. I can't believe Danger said "we need to get the ball in deeper to one on ones" in that brief interview at quarter time. If that's all Sando has up his sleeve we are ****ed.

Good - we didn't give up, we new
Ray won after being 40 down, how is that not a huuuge positive. Sando managed to motivate them enough.

Bad is betts,
He's ridiculous
Y overrated.
Ugly Adelaide oval

Bad

The whole ******* game.

Ugly

-The inability to counter the 'flood back - run forward' game plan.
-Reilly and Petrenko. Far too many spud efforts.
-goal kicking. Fix it FFS.
-Lack of intensity and effort, has afflicted us all year. WHAT IS GOING ON.

reported your post - included a good...

BAD

Reilly - his first "kick" said it all. He's done.

Grigg. Had a chance to step up. Seriously did not take it.

Our forward structure. Good thing we have an old ex gun forward as our forward line coach so I'm sure that will get sorted out.

Betts - he was given a toweling today by a player who was in danger of being dropped.

That missed goal by Sloane. Killed us.

That failure to spoil on the goal line. The game was lost right then and there. Happens far too often.

The intensity. FFS Danger kick an excellent lets-get-revved-up goal in the first fricken 30 seconds and we still looked flat. People will still have a go at Dangerfield because he missed kicks etc, but Christ the guy was alone for most of the match. For large portions of the game he was the only Crows who looked prepared to die to get the ball.

UGLY
People leaving with 4 minutes to go? What the hell?

All in all this side reminds me of some of our early 1990s sides, whee we had a lot of players who you just knew we wee never going to win a flag having them in our side.

Yep, that's the same message we keep hearing. How often did we pick out their loose man? How often did we bomb it on Eddie who was getting DESTROYED in the air by Jetta? It's a dumb message from the coach that the players have interpreted in a somehow even stupider way. Bombing it in long does not work. It didn't work when we had Tippett, either. We need to be smarter about how we kick it in there. We won the inside 50s by TWENTY THREE and still lost. Good god!

I suppose when you kick for goal as badly as we do, your only chance is to only take shots from <20m out.

He was not great today. I still HATE how he skirts around marking contests like he's Stephen Milne. YOU NEED TO ATTACK EVERY BALL THAT COMES IN THE AIR! I hate how when the ball is on the ground, he shuffles backwards to let the smalls deal with it. DIVE IN THERE, BIG FELLA! Yes he's athletic and yes he has so much upside, but christ he needs to start playing like a 6 foot 5 guy, not a midget. He has the athletic ability and coordination to be an absolute star, not just a good player. If only he'd throw his weight around!

Biggest statement made by members I can remember

Wright - great season in 2012 then kind of dissipated into a forgettable plodder thereafter. Maybe it's unfair to single him out in a day where so much went wrong for us but it just feels like too many players are able to coast along into mediocrity on the back of past form. He could have developed into a very good player but right now we're content to let him bob up for a few cheap goals against shit tier teams and not ask for much more.

When he picked up a Melbourne player and slammed dunked him to the ground, that would have scared a lot of people he needs to hit packs hard and bust them open.
Yeah that was very cool. More of that. But yes - crashing packs is what I'd like to see. It is just so annoying seeing him making ground to be at a contest, only to turn his body and try and crumb the ball. Especially when the end result is a mark to the opposition. He thinks he's Eddie Betts.
