Bands touring Australia

Hey people

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a website or somewhere I can go to see a list of bands that have announced a tour of Australia in the near future. It will be handy to skim through to check if anything stands out to me especially since I'm planning a visit sometime next year. I'm from Melbourne but am overseas at the moment.

I've tried googling but have had no success

The only to sites that I can recommend at this stage are Ticketek and Ticketmaster7.
The only problem is that these sights ussually only put the acts up just before the tix go on sale.
Maybe even look up the promoters own websites such as Frontier Touring, Michael Coppel and Gudinski. They may have some listings of bands they're trying to lure over.

Try the Beat magazine online for Melbourne gigs. Not sure of the exact link but it won't be too hard to google it.

beat mag is only good for the upcoming week... your best bet is the triple j gig guide, that has pretty much everything in it, and quite a while in advance...

Definately the way to go. Also www.fasterlouder.com.au is a good site.

That's got lots of stuff on it. More mainstream, bigger tours than the smaller, less known bands, though, but still a good site.
