Barking Dogs

Anyone ever had someone whinge to the Council about their dog/dogs? Anyone done the whingeing?

Personally I think people who complain should move to the bush. Dogs are companions and - wait for it - watch dogs!!

Of course they're going to ing bark.

There is one dog that lives a couple doors down, and other diagonally opposite. My main complaints are that they both live in the front garden, bark either early in the morning (6-7am) or late at night (1-4am), and that the owners never do anything about it. I checked my local council's website and they recommend approaching the owner as a first step. I haven't done that as yet as the barking is only occasional. But it has made me think that next time I buy a house I will check out the local dog situation.

He also says that when the dogs do a dump, the phosphurus in the bones they eat which are in their poo, is the cause of the River Torrens pollution, and the phosphurus apparently makes the swans stomach explode... or so he says. I had a go at him the other day for scaring the out of my dogs with a tree branch.

Of course not. If he did I would understand where he is coming from. There is one lady that doesn't pick up after her dog, but she's only retaliating to this man because he hates dogs in general - and it's not even on his lawn or "nature strip" which actually doesn't belong to him.

Every picks up after their dogs on our street but he singles out one lone woman and thinks everyone is like her.

When your barking mongrel tin lickers infringe on other peoples quality of life then it is your responsibility to train your fleabags so they don't bark all hours of the night ...why should other people have to lose sleep because a twat like you is a bad dog owner ?
I have 2 dogs and i have no problem...as both have been taught to only bark when strangers are around.
BTW it is against the law to have dogs that bark insessantly and disturb the neighbours

You say you teach your dogs to bark when only strangers are around? When you take your dogs for walks I can quite confidently say they would see strangers every second. Do they bark? Yes? Bad dog owner!

My dogs don't bark at leaves blowing or just for the hell of it, they bark when they 'think' the family is in danger or for its own personal defence.

You CANNOT blame dogs for barking because when they do bark, they are doing it for a purpose - or at least they think so.

Now go worry about more important issues like that pathetic "team" you call Carlton.

I agree entirely & I have owned & bred dogs all my life.

Bad owners have dogs who are aggressive & or noisy. If your dog is well trained, then it won't be either of those things. Dogs who bark constantly are bored through neglect, if you walk, train & play with your dog, it won't be a nuisance barker.

Bloody hell we agree on something. You growl at them & ignore them if they keep barking, if they keep up then put them in a room by themselves, then as soon as they stop barking, reward & praise them, just repeat over & over, until they realise that being quiet gets them rewards.

when i first got her she ate my shoes because she hated me going to work. I moved into an apartment so she went to my dads. He house trained her and he went os and i was looking after the house - as soon as she knew i was looking after her she started doing poo inside the house. little biarch

I'm not so shocked, people are idiots. It's why American Pit Bulls are being killed by the idiots at idiot central.

However you do know about dogs and the way they react to behaviour, etc. So we are bound to agree, because i know everything about everything
