Hmm I got woken up by my younger pup this morning, but she just wanted to play. I'm glad to get woken up by my dog every morning in all honesty. She doesn't get up till about 10 and I should be up by then anyway

It would be different if a dog barked constantly each morning between 6am and 7am.

You say you teach your dogs to bark when only strangers are around? When you take your dogs for walks I can quite confidently say they would see strangers every second. Do they bark? Yes? Bad dog owner!

My dogs don't bark at leaves blowing or just for the hell of it, they bark when they 'think' the family is in danger or for its own personal defence.

You CANNOT blame dogs for barking because when they do bark, they are doing it for a purpose - or at least they think so.

Now go worry about more important issues like that pathetic "team" you call Carlton.

You must be a very light/weak sleeper to get woken up by a dogs bark. Do you also wake up when you hear thunder? Or when you hear possums outside? Or perhaps when cars drive past your house?

I'm in your situation actually. A little yapping jack russell one side and a german sheppard on the other side of my house. They bark at night and in the morning - but I sleep through their barking.

I've actually drifted off to sleep during one of their barking stints. It's not hard.

No, I'm an insomniac, so a very light sleeper, I get woken very easily. If my dog barks at night, he gets growled at, because why should my dog interrupt my neighbours sleep? Also, if your dog barks all night, you get fined by the council if people complain.

That would have to be one of the stupidest things I've heard. Sure speeding, parking in the wrong place and all that but a fine for your dog barking? That's disgraceful.
