A little snippet in the CM today about staff leaving mentions team manager Barry Lowe as hanging up the boots. Very sad IMO.
Barry has been around the club longer than anyone - has been involved at least since the early 90s - and you'd never meet a more selfless individual in footy. He was always keen for a chat with onlookers at training (and you could usually get a bit of inside mail from him too)
Thanks for all your your hard work Barry!

Luke Power: Our team manager Barry Lowe has been traveling with the team for as long as I can remember. Mal Michael tells me he saw Lowey’s picture helping out at Fitzroy in a 1900 year book, and others say he has been around even longer than that!
Lowey actually manages contract cleaners during the week, and has knocked back numerous offers of a promotion so he can travel with the team every second week. He makes sure no one misses plane flights or the team bus, does the match-ups board next to Leigh Matthews in the coach’s box, and most importantly provides lollies to the players on the team bus after the match.

Andrew Hamilton: Barry Lowe is the longest-serving Lion. He was the team manager when Vossie was a freckle-faced teenager. His experience is irreplaceable and if there is a more decent person in footy, I haven't met them.
