I though this deserved it's own thread, with the World Series starting tomorrow between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies.

My heart says Phillies in 7, but my brain says Yankees in 6, which is unfortunately the shortest odds for the series result.

If you like the Phillies in tomorrows game, I'd be backing them straight out, with odds currently anywhere between 2.00 and 2.50, depending on where you look.

If you like the Yankees, maybe taking them with the runs, which seems to be at about 1.5 against at the moment, as if they win, a 2-4 run win is probably most likely.

The matchup for pitching tomorrow is a ripper, with Cliff Lee (Phillies) taking on the Yankess big off season recruit in C.C. Sabathia.

Either way, will be a big series, with the no.1. payrolled team going up against the No.7.

Best of luck if you are having a bet.:thumbsu:

Hand on my heart, I can swear that I have never, ever had a bet on the Baseball. Well that has changed now.

1st Home Run Hit - Johnny Damon @ $15.

Woo hoo, got on the Phillies at 2.40 for the win, straight out, and they won 6-1, never in doubt.

Cliff Lee pitched the whole game, with an error by the second baseman the only spoiler on what would have been the first full pitch shut out since 02.

Game 2 tomorrow, and for some reason, the Phillies are still paying very well, in fact you can get over 2.50 right now, with future Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez (Phillies) pitching against the younger A.J. Burnett (Yankees).

Good betting start to the series, now I have something to play around with.:thumbsu:
