Anyone else given this a whirl yet? It's a lot of fun and offers some very spectacular action sequences and set pieces, is quite difficult as well even on the lower settings. The combat system also has a few nice surprises in it with a few things that make you smile simply because it has never been done this way before.

Yep just finished it yesterday. I only got 2 weapons unlocked so I'm going to go through it again to try and get everything. It's a great game and although it can be a bit random at times its still an enjoyable experience.

Didn't like the demo, button mashing, camera angle was too far away and the falling clock thing just didn't work for me. What is the full game like?

this was a really odd one for me

i'm a bit of a nut for games like devil may cry and god of war but even from the beginning bayonetta didn't appeal to me.

with the ps3 version being majorly inferior to the 360 version it made it even easier for me to pass up on.

Hired it recently. The variety of moves and ridiculous extravagance was fun, but the story is poorly told and the gameplay feels too repetitive too quickly. And it is surprisingly difficult- but maybe that's because I couldn't tell what the hell was happening onscreen half the time, with all the massive dragon angels, special effects and whirlwinds of hair all over the place. Didn't manage to finish it though, so I'll check it out again and my opinion might change.

Finshed it, so camp and silly, bordering on ridiculous.

The story is convoluted and makes no sense.

But a lot of fun, certainly worth a buy once it gets down to $50 or so.

Picked this up at EB for $30 new, had a blast playing through this. So fun, so over the top. I'm not normally one for this style of game but Bayonetta charmed me.

The gameplay is brilliant, some of the best action game mechanics this generation. Very smooth and on the higher difficulties offer just the right challenge.

It's a shame that the story line as well as the presentation of the game is so over the top and grating thing that it's almost impossible to endure. They game has such a forced quirkiness that is nearly unbearable. The soundtrack is pretty horrendous too.
