** warning, this is about Vic clubs.
Every year the debate about blockbusters and who plays in them is raised.

1) what determines a blockbuster? Is it the teams or the day?
2) smaller Melb clubs need to acknowledge they will never get to the size of Pies, Blues, Tigers or Dons.
3) so any game between the above 4 will draw a huge crowd. They dont need blockbusters. Everytime they play its a blockbuster game.
4) its the smaller clubs that rely on the funds generated by the big 4.
5) so lets have every blockbuster be played by the smaller clubs. Their supports cry out for it.
6) BUT, let every team keep their gate receipts for their home games. You cant have it all your way then expect the big 4 to continue funding all clubs.

Hate me all you want, but the truth is out there, so many are just too blind to see it. Just accept it and move on, support your team and acknowledge the monetary support.

King's Birthday, Anzac Day and Easter Monday should have more than one match on those days like they used to have. Rather see 150,000 or so people at the footy on those public holidays for people to take advantage of than one match with 60 to 90 K at.

Should be all clubs play on at least one of those public holidays in the year and every second year each club has at least one of them as their home game.
Obviously the MCG should be having the bigger drawing clashes in Victoria which means the big 4 will probably play on two of those public holidays throughout the year but it nonsense that it somehow turned into only one clash on a public holiday in the last two or so decades.

I don't really care, tbh.

Never watch Queen's B'day/Anzac day anyway, as it almost always ended up being an overhyped shitshow between one team flying and one down in the doldrums for the past decade, or so.

Might be worth watching this year, with all 4 clubs currently in the 8 though.
