Jeeze JB its not as if there is much substance to the story, THAT'S what makes it a fluff piece in my opinion. Still its good to hear of the lads ongoing development and increasing maturity.

Hey, don't get me wrong Jonbe, it IS a massive fluff piece - and I wasn't referring to you being one of the posters who jump on journos if they write something even slightly unflattering about Collingwood - I was just providing commentary on the very small window of articles that would actually gain universal approval on this board... (e..g Can't be in any way negative, or too positive).

Fluff or not, we can look past the obvious "Collingwood sells papers therefore we need to cover them"...well, I guess that is my opinion...

I had reservations about Beamsy. Just wasnt sure if he was ready to take that next step, commit his body and mind to the vision and ideas of Bucks, but so far this year he has been my single favourite player to watch.

Off the field he has really shown his growing maturity. I was touched when he said on The Club that he wanted to pay back his parents, who seemed like your everyday Australians, just making ends meet, supporting their sons playing the best game in the world, in a rugby state. I like his modesty in saying that, while he has been consistent, he is still striving for the higher levels of performance and consistency shown by the ultimate professional in Pendles and he even mentions Swanny. All this bullshit about Swan not caring for footy is complete rubbish.

Beamsy will be a career player for the Pies. With him in our midfield and moving forward to snag a couple of goals, going to be great fun to watch

Gotta be a shoe-in for the Copeland too.
