NO MORE FAST n TALL RUNNING MIDFIELDERS!!! We already have Walker, Russell and Waite. No more of those types. Not even if they're supposedly the best players available. Remember how Melbourne picked up "tough but non-talented" McLean ahead of "fast and silky" Tenace. Around that time Tenace looked the better prospect, but now look at the two. Tenace plays too wide and is soft whilst McLean is absolutely killing them. Not to mention McLean's accountability is first rate and his disposals are won in the packs.

If you want a hard nut look no further than Shannon Hurn 186cm 92kg from Central Districts.He is ready built to play AFL in his first season, breaks tackles with ease he is hard at it and very strong for his age. He has played seniors and reserves the past two seasons and has performed very well. Has good skills and has a long kick and wins a lot of the ball. Has played across HB and provides run and sets the play up and can go in the middle and just dominate at the stoppages. Only query is his pace but he is not super slow (McGough) just lacks a yard (Sam Mitchell). He is the next Ricciuto.
