God he was awful.

A couple of awful kick-ins, ffs if you can't spot someone up, kick it to yourself and put it 60m away near the boundary. Don't pinpoint an opponent 30m out.

And he still has an awareness problem, got caught two/three times today seemingly unawares. Have a look around every now and again, we know hes quick, but he can look so so slow at times.

I'm still waiting for him to take that big step up, a couple of games last year he really threatened to be moving into the upper echelon of players at the club but hes starting to slip back.

I would normally be critical of your negative stance BC but i think you have a point here. He clearly wasn't helped by the amount of ball in our backline but there were some ideal match-ups for him in that team and he had his worst game of the year. His awareness is an issue. You can't just trundle out of the backline thinking you have all the time in the world when you're just about to be tackled.

He probably wouldnt 'trundle' like that, if any of the other 17 players on the field had the brains to tell him to kick it

it beats me why carrol would just loop it over the top to him when theres a speedy forward between them. bell didnt have any options, and had to wait all day for the ball to reach him. sure, he shouldve either excellerated or found an option quicker but the hand ball in the beginning was bloody unneccessary.

What was unneccessary was how slowly Bell ran when he got the ball. My mate BT screamed out "f*cking run" the moment he got the ball and we knew he would be caught. And he was. I have tried to defend this guy but after yesterday he can get f*cked.

Anyone have the clip of Philthy slotting that goal in the Elim Final against Essendon when we were under the pump?

Its up there with Godders' selling the dummy to Pendlebury and then slotting it on the right from 45m in last years QB as the greatest goal in recent history.

He got a couple of good spoils in early and looked like he was going ok with the ball coming in every 4 seconds. Once he got run down and coped a massive spray from Wheats (how about you talk to him while he has the ball you ____ing knuckle dragging git and maybe try and get over and lay a sheperd instead of waiting till after he was run down!) he lost his confidence and got worse as they day went on.

Just don't see any improvement in him, rarely makes him own ball and tends to turn it over, but that label fits 95% of our players ffs.

Football coaches generally require teammates to talk & create awareness..wasnt much of this either, he's pushes hard to improve since he returned last year, Miller is much worse than he is Id say
