*koulagirl said:If they want ratings they really wouldn't just say something, they'd make a big deal of it all week then have a live eviction show. What's the point of a couple of sentences when nobody's going to turn on the television without being told beforehand that those few sentences will be uttered... sheesh... you'd think that both Ten and Nine sent out psychic SMS to everyone in the state with a phone 'we will announce Ben Graham's future in 3 mins 48secs...'.
Good luck Ben, and goodbye.

Scorpio said:Unless he actually reads the stuff that is written on the Internet then I doubt that would've been much of a factor. It was money. Plain and simple. He has a family, and now he can set up the next decade of his and their life.
Whenever Benny played a game in front of the Geelong faithful, we would always cheer him on to kick goals and do the stuff that Benny does best. And perhaps if there's one thing that really irritates me about all this is the fact that for years we would all want Benny to boot some booming 70+ metre kicks, but he would hardly ever do it. Now that the NYJ have dangled $$$$ in front of his face, he is jetting (pardon the pun) of to the US to do exactly that.

good luck bennie boy!benny's buddy said:Yep. Certainly not saying it was the main reason. But there's no doubt he was the senior player that copped it the most from the supporters, and in turn, from the media.
Perhaps being a nobody (I mean that in a nice way) was also appealing. But again, not the main reason.
Scorpio said:Perhaps, but then lets all hope for Benny's sake that when he plays for the Jets (I have no doubt he will play) he plays well, and doesn't stuff up those booming long kicks of his. I mean this is NFL we are talking about here. Arguably the most high-profile football league there is. If Benny was to think copping it from Geelong supporters was tough, then I would hate to see how he coped when copping the full brunt of New York City!

Scorpio said:It just sucks to see a 10 year player leave the club just for a few extra million dollars.
Demonheart said:That to me would be a pretty good reason.
