Just heard on the news that ben graham has officially quit geelong and has taken up the offer with the New York Jets. Owell guess we all saw it comin... :(

HE HASN'T OFFICIALLY QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please stop saying this. Tomorrow is when he officially tells the public his decision. He's made the decision, but everyone will know tomorrow. Of course the news want to say this, it's a little thing called RATINGS!

PLEASE STAY BENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNY!

Well, if he does officially go then I wish him all the best. Obviously it was a hard choice to make, and I just hope that him and his family enjoy the experience.

If they want ratings they really wouldn't just say something, they'd make a big deal of it all week then have a live eviction show. What's the point of a couple of sentences when nobody's going to turn on the television without being told beforehand that those few sentences will be uttered... sheesh... you'd think that both Ten and Nine sent out psychic SMS to everyone in the state with a phone 'we will announce Ben Graham's future in 3 mins 48secs...'.

Good luck Ben, and goodbye.

Koula Girl we miss u on the port page, Please come back and visit. Ben will get his shot i am not sure if u will really make it thou. Less chance of getting hurt in NFL when u only on for a about 4 plays a game :D.

i cant beleive he left, especially now that geelong are looking as strong as ever, but he has the right to do what he likes with his life. Good luck to him, maybe he will win the superbowl of his boot.

Man that blows... supposed though he was going to go eventually.

So what will the sides makeup be?

I reckon:

B: Wojinski Scartlett Sanderson
HB: Hunt Harley Rooke
C: Tenace Ling Koula
HF: S Johnson Mooney G Ablett
FF: Chapman Ottens Kingsley
R: King Corey Bartel
i: D Johnson Enright Riccardi Kelly

It's very disappointing to hear the news officially, even though we all knew it was coming. It guess we could always hope...

You can't really blame him for making the decision. I guess constantly getting sh#t from the supporters might make the decision a little easier. It's disappointing that he didn't stay now that we're finally going places.

I hope he deosn't live to regret the decision. Good luck to Benny and his family. I hope he goes well.

Unless he actually reads the stuff that is written on the Internet then I doubt that would've been much of a factor. It was money. Plain and simple. He has a family, and now he can set up the next decade of his and their life.

Whenever Benny played a game in front of the Geelong faithful, we would always cheer him on to kick goals and do the stuff that Benny does best. And perhaps if there's one thing that really irritates me about all this is the fact that for years we would all want Benny to boot some booming 70+ metre kicks, but he would hardly ever do it. Now that the NYJ have dangled $$$$ in front of his face, he is jetting (pardon the pun) of to the US to do exactly that.

Yep. Certainly not saying it was the main reason. But there's no doubt he was the senior player that copped it the most from the supporters, and in turn, from the media.

Perhaps being a nobody (I mean that in a nice way) was also appealing. But again, not the main reason.

I posted over there the other day, actually. Didn't you notice?

There's truth in what you say about Benny though, he won't have all that much to do, one just hopes they can improve his kicking.

i have never said a bad thing about bennie and im not going to start now, he was always my favourite player when i was younger i was extremely upset to hear the news earlier but he has a great skill and i just hope the americans love him as much as we do.....he has been a fantastic player for our club even though we will all miss him alot( well i certainly will!) this is a great opportunity for him, it's not fair that us geelong supporters dont even get to say goodbye in his last game though, oh well he should know how respected he is by all of us.....this really does suck though.... :( good luck bennie boy!

Perhaps, but then lets all hope for Benny's sake that when he plays for the Jets (I have no doubt he will play) he plays well, and doesn't stuff up those booming long kicks of his. I mean this is NFL we are talking about here. Arguably the most high-profile football league there is. If Benny was to think copping it from Geelong supporters was tough, then I would hate to see how he coped when copping the full brunt of New York City!

I do seriously hope that doesn't happen though. I want Benny to do well, as I'm sure we all do. It just sucks to see a 10 year player leave the club just for a few extra million dollars.

Never underestimate the power of abuse a Geelong crowd can generate. :D
