Ben Griffiths

I really like the look of Ben Griffiths, would rather get him at 18 but I rate him a lot, got great hands and pretty bloody dam good kick and a better body size than Butcher for a KPP, a couple of pre-seasons will be a monster in my OP and I would hate to see Carlton get him at 12 I would cry. Thoughts??

It all depends on who is going to be in the PSD.

If Ball is in it the PSD I would expect and hope we take a Black at 11 and Griffiths at 18. If, and this is more likely Thorp is the only real option in the PSD then i doubt we would take KPP with 11 & 18. That said Black has the tools to become a big mid circa Matthew Pav.

I do love the thought of a big pack splitting forward that has the ability to kick the goal when he has it within 60m. Although an 18yo that already weights 100kg may struggle with his bulk later in life.

If we get thorp as well would definately want to pick this guy up. Play him close to goal with with a crumbe around him. Saying that would have to make sure his injuries are not too severe.

What exactly are his injuries?

I think if we get Thorpe in the PSD and a KPF at 11 then we can get a very good mid at 18.

If he gets his body right he will be a fantastic pick up. Decent bloke and I wish him the best regardless on what team he plays for next year.

Presuming we take Black at 11, I think if we go for a second tall it will be Carlisle (or Talia if he is available).

The midfielders that will be left will be much better than Griffiths (Sheppard, Duncan, Moore, Stevens??) and if we have Thorp in the PSD then we should be ok for KPFs.

What exactly are his injuries? .

Has a bad shoulder. Is getting a reconstruction the day before the draft. Is meant to be like most shoulder injuries in that it is repaired quite easily without long term issues.
