With the season start just around the corner, and after seeing Bennell in purple for the first time saturday. I must say, I am most excited to see this duo in action this year. At some stage in the game against geelong (maybe after one of them kicked a goal early on) they were jogging back to their starting positions together and it gave me goosebumps. I believe this duo, could be something to behold and offer a new proposition to opposition defence altogether. Watching them work in tandem is something I am dying to see, and the foot-skills will add so much to our forward line. Obviously its unlikely - but what are your thoughts on setting up our forward line more around these 2:
Such that -
Pav stays deep as a target, with these 2 hanging around the half-forward area. Then Taberener/Mayne working higher up the ground on the lead. And Ballantyne rotating through the middle as well as with these 2. I think the diversity of this forward line (especially with Fyfe spending some time down there) will be able to consistently kick us a winning score.

Bennell seems right at home in purple. Looked extremely happy to be playing on the weekend and gelled well with everyone.

Recruit of the year for sure.

I think all our over-the-top excitement over Bennell in the preseason was well placed. And looks like the other players were as excited as us. Great to see he's gelled well with the group. Bennell & Sonny are going to be such a powerful combination. Just needa get Ballas a role there too

I think our expectations of Ballantyne and Mayne are a bit distorted because of the incomplete or unbalanced nature of our forward set up. While Bennell doesn't complete the set up, he is definitely a dangerous weapon and in my opinion will potentially improve the output of every single component of the forward line.

And Bennell and Walters are a show waiting to happen.

He can be better than Sonny...much better

I think he already is.

Damian Barrett ( i know flog) has labeled him a future Brownlow medallist which is a big call.

But one thing he has that a lot of the dockers need or haven't got/had is a killer instinct. Not shy of pulling the trigger where some would look for a optimistic 50/50 contest he'll have a shot. Had a hard start at a new club, seen little reward for alot of hard work which probably caused him getting off track.

A more professional outfit and with some bigger more realistic goals is what he needs. He'll be definitely making our highlight reel regularly.

The one at 1.58 v Adelaide and the goal against Geelong at 3 minutes...I want him given free license to ping them from everywhere...

"Harley unless Pavlich is by him self by 40 meters in the goal square, you shoot that ****ing ball...we're going to let the cobblers do the cobbling".

Like on the weekend he takes the great mark on the 50 and then passes to Danyle in a worse position...that's a no no

2.01 here...jesus

The peaks yes...now we want Sonny consistency

His ceiling is so much higher though. I remember the 2012 game freo v GC alot of the spotlight was on the Crowley v Abblett match up with gaz pulling out with injury. It was a night at Metricon and full of dew.

With no Abblett, he made the game close ( we won by 2 goals from memory). 37 possessions and 3 goals. He has had 39 touches and 4 goals against Melbourne too.

Averages 21 touches and over a goal a game. The best part is he is only going to get better and we get to harness it.

Were they on Pirates of the Caribbean?
:D:D:DThe Kraken is briefly seen in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, wherein it has been killed by Davy Jones under the order of Lord Cutler Beckett. When reminded of this killing, Jones appears distraught and plays sad music on his pipe organ.

Plagiarism took from wiki :p:p:p. Why bother do write where you can cut and paste . eg why bother defensive pressure , if you can kick straight the first time. (Mayne fan?)
