I dont believe all this crap like my mates, mates, cousin... All rumours, the bloke can play footy, i would have him at the cattery but wont happen, lets move on.

Can't say I am sorry to hear for the Eagles' sake, but I hope for his sake, whether he's a tosser or not, that he can't get himself sorted and back on the right track. I don't doubt that he'll be back playing footy eventually.

Let's just hope that there aren't any similar issues down at our club that are being kept under wraps. You never know with the types of blokes who play footy for a living. Let's just hope Dog's alcohol issues are as bad as it gets.

If anything it tells us that our dealings with SJ were pretty spot on, that being judged by his peers is a good thing and what happens when there is no discipline at a club. All clubs should learn from it, what happens when things dont get sorted out early....
Poor Steve, Ben gets a slap on his wrist for some heavy duty misdemeanours (well until now....) and he gets 6 weeks for trying to drink a bottle of suntan oil....

Interesting angle this one. On one side we have a bunch of drug-hoovering thugs who belt each other and any cabbie near them to pulp, hang out with gangsters, treat everyone around them like **** and generally get about like an English football team from the early nineties. On the other we have a rudderless group of underperforming nice guys with a small penchant for beer in quantities measured in dozens.

Strange how in this image conscious time the former are reigning premiers, the richest club around and recently managed to chase down an eleven goal lead against the latter on the nice guys home turf.

With all the incredible and endless controversy that surrounds Cousins and WCE maybe GFC could take a good look at what an amazing committment to success this bunch must have as individuals. Something I've never seen in my 30-odd years supporting the Cats

success at what cost??? thats the issue now.I would still rather be a cats supporter with no premiership....than be a WCE supporter at the moment. I was pointing out that the hard line that the club took on SJ was justified and this supports their actions.

WCE used cousins to get what they wanted (flag) and werent looking after him and his mental state. If they were to look after him and send him the message that he has to put footy second, his health first, they would take him off the paddock to sort the issue out!!....even though it is his choice what he does off field - they have the responsibility to deal with innapropriate behaviour accordingly.

thats how we can learn from this as a club....this is how it affects Geelong
