Pick one of each.

Best: I go for Miami. They filled a need and got a ready to play talent who could, probably should, have gone higher. If he works well with Riley, and he is expected to, you might see a ROY in Butler.

Worst: Indiana. wtf? It looks like their thinking was "We have a bit of a logjam talent wise and will probably package some players together to try and acquire a stud or two. We don't really need this pick so let's dip or hands into the hat, grab a beer and relax". If you're going to take a flier their were better ones available.

Best - no doubt Miami....Butler never should have slid that far but i doubt he will get ROTY with the Ming Dynasty and Williams playing. Butler is a ready made player and should come straight into the starting lineup for the Heat who are expected to make some moves with Zo and Brian Grant both being shopped.

Worst - one from left field but ill say the Clippers....not bad on the surface with Wilcox and Ely but if they cant offload Odom then they are gonna have a logjam at 3 and 4 spots...I honestly cant see many teams biting with Odom either..

I think the best pick up was Butler at #10, and Gooden at #4, this move allows last years ROY Gasol to slide down to SF, Battier to play the SG, and Gooden to play the PF. This is a very good team in a year or two. Jerry West at his best.

The worst, well, I believe Yao Ming will be a bust. I think China will hound Houston and it wont work out.

Also the lakers are better next year already with the trade with the stupid Toronto Raptors that handed them Kareem Rush. This was a steal at its very best.

Ming wont be a bust! China could very well hound Houston and it could end up getting ugly, but Ming's talents are not in question. If China stay out of it, Ming will be very very good and Houston will be one of the better teams in the West next year. Injuries permitting of course. Franchise needs to get over those migraines and get on the court and with Taylor, Norris, Mobley, Griffen and now a big man in Ming, they could win 45/50+ next year.

On the Lakers trade...Rush can shoot and thats why the Lakers wanted him. The Raptors have a bevy of good shooters but were weak at the point so they got seasoned vet, Hunter. Good trade for both sides. Lakers priority will be to keep Devean George, dont see it happening though.
