We had the comedy thing recently and for whatever reason cop shows popped into my thoughts. But rather than shows, who do you view as the best ever TV cop?
One thing the Yanks do well is cop shows, Hill st, Homicide, Policewoman !?! But the Brits dont miss out with The Bill, Sweeny, Cracker etc.
Anyway, my vote goes to John Kelly (David Caruso) in the first series of NYPD Blue. He was only on screen for that one series but gee I loved that character. He was smart, tough, compassionate, assured and most of all had that touch of steeliness and morale fibre about him that you reckon you would love from 'real' coppers.
So to the bat-polls. Again its only ten (well nine with 'other' the other choice haha, sorry Dave) choices. Feel free to pick me up on ones ive overlooked!
Cheers.
