Best ever TV cop

Who has been the best TV cop that you have seen?

Mine was John Kelly (1st series) of NYPD Blue. Everything you wanted in a TV cop, tough, compassionate, clever, moral and with that inner steel that said 'Dont mess with me' to the crims!

For those old enough to remember

Jack Reagan of the Sweney is easily the best detective on TV.

Brooding, foul mouthed, a slob, a thug, an obsessive crim-hating psycopath.

The Jack Reagan character was as undesirable and horrible as the crims he was chasing.

More brilliant television drama from Euston Films - the best crime television in the business
