ok.. well many people have done the ladder predictor!!:)
and the thread already on this board seems that people are quite
happy with just winning 1 of our last 4 games!!!!

I recently did the predictor and ended up with : top ten:

1.saints 22-0 %171
2.cats 20-2 % 132
3.dogs 15-7 % 124
4.collingwood 14-8 % 116
5.Adelaide 13-9 %112
6.Carlton 13-9 % 110 ( this assuming we only lose 1 game ..guessing geelong)
7.lions 13-9 % 108
8. hawks 11-11 % 95
9. port 11-11 % 92
10.essendon 10-12 % 97

this meaning we have a home final against brisbane and we know we can beat them ...

then we vs the loser out of dogs vs cats and assuming cats win we will play the doggies and once again we know we can beat them and would be quietly confident as we know we match up well..:thumbsu:

and then in the prelim we vs saints and we out played them for 3 quarters last time.. and would be at the mcg (not ideal for saints)

remember this is just the best possible way for carlton to possibly win a couple of finals.. other wise if we come up against adelaide or lions away in the first week we will struggle :thumbsd:

lol i just rambling on now goodbye:D

If we beat Port the Rd 22 match will decide whether we get a home final. Interestingly it could be Adelaide that we play in the first week of the finals and they may have to come to melbourne two weeks in a row to play us.

They may as well make a week of it and take in the sights.

oh yes i never thought of that!!:o
that would indeed be interesting

Honestly there are just too many scenarios at the moment that its not worth it.

Having a home final would be great, but I just cant see that happening (Needed to beat the Pies to make that a possibility). I think should we make finals (likely) our opponent is looking to be one of the Crows or Lions - and I'd think it'll be at their home ground.

I think meeting the Crows in Adelaide is the worse result and I am hoping for the Lions. However we could finish 7th and meet the crows, or still finish 8th and meet the crows also. Finishing 8th and meeting the Pies is also another likely result...arrgh! (I'd prefer the Pies above all else to be honest)

We'll play finals. Thats all that matters.

Exactly. We are still 2 wins away from a guaranteed finals spot. That's what we should be aiming for right now.

If we manage to beat Port then Melbourne, our next goal is to beat Adelaide in round 22 to get a home final.

After that our goal is to win the elimination final.

After that, to win the semi final etc.

Can't think too far ahead.

We do have a game against Geelong this week. round 19 in the fixture... Check it out. 22 on 22.

People writing this off far too quickly... Lift the sights and look up the ladder not down...

if thats the worst that could happen i wouldn't be to stressed as Adelaide's finals record at home is fairly poor on memory

I had us winning 4 out of 4 and playing a final against Hawthorn!

Then i took the realistic approach and had us at AAMI against the Crows.

Dont know what i'd prefer really.

Yeah but our record against them anywhere isn't too good. If we end up playing them at AAMI then they'll probably be more confident this time around.

The Crows won't be a dangerous finals side though. Like the Dogs and Lions they havn't taken any huge scalp all year. We would be a chance against every team in the finals bar the Cats and Saints if they're at full strength.

I would be happy to loose to Port just so Essendon don't make it!
