What's with the Bevan bashing. Bevan is a shoe in for our side, and will be for years to come. It doesn't matter if half of you don't agree with me, the selectors do and that's all that matters.

I agree with you Kenny... Michael Bevan is a player who consistantly performs when the team is under pressure, either by pacing the innings or guiding the team home to victory in a run chase.
I would have him in my best team anyday!!

We were fortunate that he didn't play agaist Pakistan instead of Symonds.
If Bev had of come in at 4/86 we would have been lucky to get 220 and would have lost.

Michael Bevan makes 74 not out under extreme pressure to guide Australia to victory against England, I rest my case.![]()

What about Bichel's innings?
If Bevan wasn't so slow to get going Australia would never have been in the situation they were. He gets us into the situation, Bichel gets us out, but Bevan's the hero, I just don't get it.![]()

That is a pathetic post, u r saying if it wasn't for Bevan we would of won consistenly? Bichels knock was great but Bevans knock was one of the most controlled and settled knocks u can expect from a batsman. Not once did the run rate get out of control, the highest it became was 7 an over at the start of the 49th over, the pitch was shocking late in the afternoon and the ball was cutting away hugely making batting conditions extremely difficult.

Consistenly???? WTF?
If the pitch was so bad then how did Bichel make 34 of just 36 balls?

Maybe because Bichel is a good batsman, one minute u quote him as having a great innings then u critiscize his batting questioning how he made 34 off 36 balls.
????????![]()

You cannot possibly persist in critising Bevan and expect to have any credibility. you are just trying to save face. He is a legend and a hero and rest assured without him we would have lost today. end of argument

OMG? Hello anyone home?
So Bevan is a bad batsman then because he scored 74 off 126? Going on your logic then he is because Bic scored 34 off 36.
Since when did I question Bichel's batting? You said the pitch was a shocker, saying it was tough to bat on. I then questioned that theory by asking how Bichel could make 34 off 36 if the pitch was so bad.
You are confusing yourself, I think it's time you went to bed.
