BFFCL Test Team of the Week

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

Just like I did for the T20 comp, I will be doing a team of the week for the One Day and Test competitions. This will be purely based off my own opinion on how each player performed during their games. I will try my best to select players in the position that they played, but if slight changes need to be made, I will do so.

This thread is for the TEST team of the week. At the end of the season, I will be selecting a team of the year based upon the statistics of all players that played in the test competition this season.

How great is Test Cricket...

Here's the BFFCL Test team of the week for week 1.

Best buds Ant Bear and BRAB will open the batting this week after the Roos skipper tonned up in their first dig while BRAB blew the competition away scoring a blistering 186 against a hapless Phoenix attack. cooney comes in at number 3 after the Bounders batsman batted strongly in both innings scoring 86 in his first knock and backing it up with a second innings hundred. The batting all-rounder Cheval comes in at 4 after putting on 125 in the first knock and a solid 49 in the second. She also rolled through a few overs without taking a wicket. The class of boncer34 is in at 5 as the self proclaimed "best batsman alive" knocked up a ton in his first knock back as well as a solid 35 in the second knock. The 6 as 7 spots are taken up by two wicket keepers with The_torpedo (76 and 100 not out and 5 catches) and Agent93 (27 and 103 and 2 catches) making the XI. Dolphins captain Cadaver comes in at number 8 after taking 2 and 3 scalps in the two innings against the Phoenix. Roos star akkaps and Bounders ace Frankston Rover are the next pair having taken 6 wickets a piece across the two innings. The number 11 spot is taken up by Bolts bowler Gough who is the leading wicket taker after 1 round with 7 wickets.

And that is this weeks Test team of the round. If you think you were robbed of a spot, message me and I'll tell you why you didn't make it.

Only 2 Dolphins? You can't justify TJASTA not getting picked over Agent93.

You explain why you're so outraged first

Outraged? Come on.

TJASTA made as many runs as A93 in his opening innings (didn't have a second innings due to complete dominance) and took as many dismissals, and in a winning side.

So he was a down hill skier?

Easy to do that when your teams dominating. A93 had to plug away.

This ain't qooty mate, you can't be carried when it's just you and the bowler. If anything, Agents knock had less pressure considering the game was effectively over. TJASTA was half of a match winning partnership.

You don't think it's easier to look good in a winning team?

Sorry didnt realise I was talking to a dumbass.
