Just a friendly nudge to Jod.

I reckon with three weeks to go that a list of contributors needs to be called for soon.
It may also be a good idea to duplicate this on EFH so voting can be made on either site.
Another Idea I had was to make it best 7 rather than 5 because I noticed that many posters last season put down a few unlucky players at the end.

If we go with a top 7, possibly consider a scoring system a bit different to the 5-4-3-2-1 we used last year? Someone 3rd best on ground may not necessarily have played that much better than someone 7th best on ground, so would be unfair for them to score 4 more votes. It also doesn't encourage consistency, but instead is a bit like the brownlow and encourages sporadic BOG performances.

With that in mind (assuming that makes sense to y'all), maybe go with a 5-4-3-2-2-1-1 system? Or something similar?

Nice idea's D4E's. Im gonna rework the whole system this year and Im still trying to get you all the results from last season. I had it all counted and ready to go and my computer crashed on me and I lost it all!!

So im going through all the votes from last season now and I will have the results up for the 2004 season before 05 kicks off...but yeah a whole new system this season as last year was very annoying.

Too many voters and too many unreliable voters. Might have to float votes this season but thats really what I dont want to do but because everyone is unreliable at getting me there votes I may have to.

My suggestion is that votes have to be in by 3 days after the game. If not then they are excluded and the voter gets a yellow card. Three yellow cards and they are red carded for the season. Let's face it, four days after the game is the match fresh enough in your mind to give a fair vote?

I think a top 5 (5,4,3,2,1) is quite enough.

Heaven forbit it should happen again, but I remember finding it very hard to find votes after a couple of away beltings last year.

there were a couple of games like that, but i remember a lot more when it was very hard to separate players. Usually there are 2-3 standout players then 5-6 who all have a similar influence on the game. I like D4E's idea but it would make it a bit more complicated.
