The leagues are being created, if you're interested in joining a league and have already registered your interest in the appropriate threads at the top of the SuperCoach page; please check the Super Coach league boards every time you log into BigFooty.

While the first 5-10 leagues we will give ~48 hours to join, after this point we may open up the leagues to 20 names and the first 16 posters will get into that league.

There will potentially be some time constraints, so this will help to speed up the process.

All entrants that post in the signup threads will still be slotted into their appropriate league.

Good place to start, hoping I do better than that this time. No huge pressure in Div 17 either, so good.

Yep, the numbers speak for themselves.
A ranking of 5000 won't even get people into a single digit league next year....

what are the special 8 cases in div 10?

They will be anyone that has not responded to higher league invites (may have been away, computer crash etc) or other high ranking late entrants etc.
8 is just an estimate and will no doubt change.

Have you thought of doing a promotion/relegation system? I run a series of leagues called The Hogg Shield that currently has seven divisions with the Grand Finalists being promoted and the bottom four playing off in relegation finals with the losers of the 13 v 16 and 14 v 15 'finals' going down a divvy the next year.

Hi Rik,

The whole promotion and relegation system has been talked about a heap. It will get discussed again no doubt, but I am unsure about how easy it will be to create something that is fair on a website like BF.

I may consider something like this again, I think waspy created a great concept which I may reconsider in the coming months.

This would be to hard to create because we have players that come and go every season and we may have 5 players in 1 league that dont play ever again then we may have 10 new players who would like to fill thoes spots... The safest and fairest way is to put the top players from each season in decending order of total score.

Once we have multiple years of reliable scores, a rolling average will achieve a similar result as one standout high or low ranking should only see a player bumped up or down a league or two, and there won't be any issues with players coming and going, assuming previous players are prioritised again.
