Former Richmond Captain, Kane Johnson (116 games, 32 goals for Richmond) joins me for a chat about all things football! We talk about his time at Adelaide including the Prelim final against the Dogs, 97 / 98 Grand Finals, his trade to Richmond, Captaincy, kicking the Sherrin 50m the wrong way at the first centre bounce, life after footy plus more.

Kane was fantastic during the chat, he was very open and in depth, a really good guy.

Sugar's answers to what was challenging for him was blindingly obvious, but also really insightful. Of course the biggest thing for the captain is to play good footy! Doing that while tagging, and playing in a dreadful team, must have kept him up at night. Great effort for him to win the JD under those circumstances.

up until i was doing research for the interview, i really had forgotten how shocking we were back during those years. he did extremley well all things considered.

Michaels really enjoyed this as it's great to hear an interview that doesn't have a hidden agenda, isnt a comedy scetch or a pissing competition. Easy flowing style that makes it seem like a conversation between tiger supporters rather than an interview. I love the front bar and this site for the piss take, rumour mongering and one man up ship style of info but really glad you have taken the more layer back approach and allow individuals to tell their story without the need for a headline, a scoop or laughs. Should allow other potential guest to feel comfortable about appearing on the show.

You go to so much effort to producing this sort of thing and the appreciation isn't there. It's part of human nature because you do it so well others are jealous and it wants to make you throw it all in. Keep punching m8 and hope your efforts and wackos are rewarded in the end.
