Paddy Guanine was sent out to rough up young Geelong star Ken Newlands, which he did. Bill Ryan ran down to sort Paddy out. Paddy wisely departed the scene at a good rate. No vision of that, just my memory at that game. Pretty sure it was '66 or '67. I remember overhearing from the adults at the time Ryan was known as a tough bloke.
