Hopefully better than Ronin O'Connor.Welcome Billy!
There's the tall mid you've all been crying out for lol
Watched a bit of his U18 form. His U18 sanfl stats are very impressive, MVP in that league and captain of St Peter’s school team. Exactly that tall mid we have been wanting for a while!
He’ll play next year. Very good mid.
Works extremely hard, runs both ways and very good at both inside and outside role.
Great user.
Very good height.
Had him 5th ranked in SA.
One notable difference is that O'Connor didn't accumulate enough of the footy. That doesn't appear to be a problem for Dowling.Hopefully better than Ronin O'Connor.
Welcome to the club Billy
According to the mate I quoted above, Victorian mids generally get preference over talent from elsewhere (especially for line ball calls) and therefore mids like Dowling can fall to the 30s/40s. He thought there were some odd picks in the 30s and is surprised Dowling slid past the 2nd round.I like the selection. Tall mid, local lad, prolific ball winner.
An MVP in the SANFL U18's with 30+ disposal avg - how does he fly under the radar of selectors and slide to 43?
That is a good question how did he fly under the radarI like the selection. Tall mid, local lad, prolific ball winner.
