This post is mainly directed to those who say, or infer, or believe, or even had a passing notion that America somehow deserved what happened on Tuesday.

When you hear of a pretty young lady, who wears sexy, slightly revealing clothing, has been attacked, and r*ped, do you say to yourself that she deserved it, because of the type of clothes she wears, and the type of girl that makes her.
Or do you say, that just because a pretty young lady loves her life, loves to wear clothing that she feels sexy in, and she feels attractive in, she DOES NOT deserve to be attacked and r*ped. That sexual molestation, physical attacks, and rape is never deserved, it is nothing but a brutal assult by a person who should feel the full weight of the law as a consequence of those actions.

Most posters here (I HOPE) would say that no-one deserves to be attacked or r*ped, no-one just being themselves deserves to be assulted.

I see this as an analogy to what some have said about America this week.

America has acted in the past, present and I'm sure in the future, according to the dictates of the type of country and society it is.

America is that pretty young lady, she wears flamboyant clothing, she looks sexy, she has the expensive jewellery on.

None of this means she DESERVES to be attacked.

America has been called the "world's policeman", with justification, it is the only country with the resources to do the job, sure sometimes we have bites at her, but mark my words, if Australia were to be invaded, the first country we would call on is America.

In closing, America has done some things wrong, so has everyone else, just don't try to say that because she might have made some mistakes, she deserves what happened on Tuesday.

No-one, not America, nor that pretty young lady, deserves to be assulted

I agree wholeheartedly that no country and no individual deserves what happened on Tuesday. What I think some people are saying, although somewhat clumsily, is that by acting as the world's police and by selectively distributing aid and arms to other nations, the US is bound to have made some enemies along the way, but it's no justification for Tuesday's actions.

I want to add something to this. America isn't perfect and has made mistakes, but could you imagine what the Middle East and other places in the world would be like without a strong US acting as the worlds policeman? The world would be a hell of a lot scarier without them, there would be wars all over the globe and every two-bit dictator with a grudge against his neighbour would feel free to attack them. At least a strong US military make them think twice about it.

It's a pity guys like Alf, Ah_19 and QT haven't bothered to reply to me.

I think Alf was self-imposing a 'ban' on himself from this site AS.

And yes I agree, levelling blame upon the 'victims' was inappropriate at the time, and my take on it is well at least when the USA have taken military action against other nations, these nations have known exactly who was doing it. They knew it was the usa.

They don't do it in a 'cowards' way like this attack was.
