A silly question, but i just thought i would ask: how do you store your blank cd's / dvd's when you have finished using them ?

I have different sorting systems which i'd like to migrate over to just the one eventually. I used to do the single disc & cover thing, but i realised if i was to do that for EVERYTHING i'd run out of room. I then began to buy a few folders with plastic slips to keep them in, it worked well (48 - 72 discs in the one spot = great). I got lazy after awhile, and began to re-use the cylinder case that the blank discs originally came in.

I've tried to use folders again, but i've found that today's folders are not the same quality as those from a few years ago (cheap crap). If they are left in the folder, they get scratch marks all over them.

I got lazy, I just use the spindles. No organisation whatsoever.
Same Here done that for the last few Months and Only problem is it's hard to re-find a DVD/CD

I've got a couple of the silver cases that hold around 400 discs. I keep copies of all my music in FLAC format burned to a DVD on them. I use an excel spread to keep a track of what is on each DVD. I keep a copy of my entire music collection in itunes as well

terabyte hard drives are so cheap at 178 for the wd elements atm, ive ripped all dvds and cds to that.

still have the dvds and cds but hard drive storage and media players such as ipods etc will see the death of dvds and cds.

big call i know but when you can access everything without sorting through numerous discs its great,

i do have a wd tv media centre as well that helps :)
