Anyone think he's worth a punt at Freo?

Heres how I would rate him in the list of candidates..

1 Wallace
2 Pagan
3 Woosher
4 Eade
5 Blight
6 Dermie

I just don't think he has the right temperament for freo. We lack a lot of professionalism at our club, I reckon we need a coach who will provide clearly defined structure, rules and approach. Blight, IMO, is too freewheeling in style and does not pay enough attention to the planning/logistics side of things.

What about Mark Harvey? I read an interview with him where he said that a) he thought he was ready for a senior role, and b) he would consider going interstate to do so.....

Well, you can keep ya hands off Woosha! Judgey's just keeping his seat warm....

Even with all the speculation of Freo paying up to $800,000 for a 'proven coach', I don't think Blight's the one. His heart wouldn't be in it. IMO Freo would be mad to pay a huge salary to a coach, they'd be better to pay $350-400,000 for a good coach and put the rest towards drafting a couple of good players.

And, considering the treatment Blight received from the St Kilda Board, and Freo's track record on treatment of their coaches, do you really think he'd come over anyway??

Now that the Saints are chasing a coach its going to be harder for the Dockers to get the number one man around (who ever that is) given they most probably won't have as much money to throw around as Fremantle. I think they need an experienced coach who knows how to get a team to win (not asking for much am I) whether its a current AFL coach or an assistant, time and money will decide the issue.

If he had to be paid $1 million to coach St Kilda he probably didn't really want the job in the first place.

ok freo have done some good drafting in the past few years so now we need to spend the money on recruiting rather than the drafting

Drafting/recruiting - whatever! Just spend it on getting players.

Sorry, you'll have to enlighten me - exactly who did West Coast sack midway through a season, but then leave it to the media to actually deliver the news to?
