So, getting 3 wireless broadband.
But when you pay peanuts you get monkeys they say.
Tuesday: call up, sign on for a 24mths 7GB for $49.
told that my package will be here between 9am and 5pm, simple do a few things in the morning and wait all day.
Today: go and get the paper at 8:30am, back by 8:35am see note on the door. I've missed the package which says "you're packages were delivered and you were not at home, please call 13 13 20 for pick up details"
I call straight away, ask if the driver can simply turn around and drop it off again, its not even 9am.
Get these lines, because you were not home we cannot redeliver, you must pick it up tomorrow.
I cracked it, saying that if you say between 9am and 5pm and you come earlier or later you are in the wrong. Its not a option to go to Port Melbourne tomorrow, so getting no help I call 3.
The girl and Aussie says to go into a 3 store, they'll cancel that one and just resign.
So off to a city I go.
Get to the 3 store at 11am, tell the guy my story, "yep, thats easy" 10 minutes later he hands me a phone, got CS asking me all these questions, I tell them the story they put me on to someone else, 15 minutes later I think it's all worked out, the guy is again speaking "I've done this before, its easy do this....." then put me onto your boss thanks.
an hour later I'm still waiting, they said "It should be sorted now" 5 minutes later I'm sent for lunch, being the good guy and puting them all through this I get 5 cans of coke for them.
Go back to the store, the guy hands me the kit, says "in an hour it'll be fine, plug it in and go"
3pm: I plug it in, "no service" so I call 3care, some Indian, he now tries at first to sign me up to a new deal, I tell him to listen very carefully.
I then tell him what has happened, I don't want a new deal, I don't want the one that was sent this morning, I have a modem, I just need it up and working. He then tries again to get me to wait for the one that was sent for this morning. I then tell him for the last time to listen "I have one it's IMEI number is XYZ..., the old ones number was XYZ...., just get this up working" put on hold, 25 minutes later, someone else on the phone asking for my IMEI number, then says "thats not your number, I have 'and says the first one".
Again I tell them what has happened, to listen this time reminding him that I will be calling the Teleo Ombudman. 25 minutes later "this is what we can do why isn't your modem number (the first one) there?" again I tell him, this time swearing and telling him that I am very pissed off, I want this up and running in 10 minutes. He says he has to call the store and will call me back in 10 minutes.
Still no reply so far, but if its not sorted by 6pm I've told them that I will be calling the TO, gettig out of all my contracts and will take 3 to court if needed.
