The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission revoked the competition notice issued to Telstra in September last year which could have led to big fines. The dispute involved fast internet services via the phone network, known as ADSL (asynchronous digital subscriber line).
At the time, Telstra was charging wholesale ADSL customers more than it charged retail customers, making residential broadband competition almost non-existent.
