Tough one. Bock promised so much in 2007 too.

I personally wouldn't pick him up, much better options around.

The issue that I have with Bock is that he is way too versatile, and Neil Craig seems to play him all over the place. This makes his scoring a little too un- predictable for my liking.

If he plays back which he usually does, he racks up so many possies.

Just depends on whether they are efficient.

He got another 110 odd today against Fremantle.

Can't complain from what I've seen this year, one average match last week when he scored about 50, other than that he has been doing pretty good.

Any Adelaide backmen worth getting, all seem to get plenty of touches (Mcleod,Bock,Johncock and co.)

Johncock get's plenty of the ball and 100% TOG so he's pretty safe for a 90-100 ave most weeks. Still affordable.

McLeod ditto but more expensive. Proably ave 10pts or so more the JC for the year.

Bock is moved around a lot so will have bigger weekly fluctuations.

Symes seems to have settled as a running half back and gets plently of the ball through midfield rotations too. However his skill level and decision making is clearly inferior to the other three.

In terms of SC value I'd rank them:

Mc
JC
Symes
Bock

Neil Craig stated at the start of the season that Bock was playing as a full time backman, which is why i chose him as he reads the play well and will score well if he stays there, similar to a fletcher who gets heaps of points with turnovers.

So yes, this year i think stick with him

He's unlikely to be moved forward very often this year with our other forwards doing well (Goodwin, Burton, Tippet etc). Expect him to stay in the backline and keep racking up possessions. :thumbsu:
