I work in Bourke St and am also a floor warden but we haven't been evacuated.

We have been advised that people who work for the National Bank in the same building as the US Consulate in St. Kilda Rd have been moved out of that building indefinitely for safety reasons.

Secondhand, 101 Collins had the threat. 120 and Nauru House (and presumably all surrounding buildings) were cleared.

Aparantly they have let everyone back in.

How long does it take to assure that there is no bomb in a building? Bloody quick if you ask me!!!

I'm work in 101 Collins. We're all okay. But listen to the message they put over:

"We've received a bomb threat. There is no need to evacuate the building. Please check any unusual boxes or packages near you."

Yep, I'm going to stay at my desk and look in a package because it looks "suss" and get blown to bits! Duh!!!!!
Got my friend from Nauru house on the phone (level 30), and they weren't evacuated. :(

Nah, serioulsy, this isn't good.
Hope everyone is ok.

It was not on the channel 7 news. It wasn't on the 3AW news either. I first heard about it on City fm. A DJ from City fm rang up the station, and told everyone about it. His call was taken live on air.
