Relax friends...I was reading a thread in the International Footy section regarding the Forgotten Tour. There is a link to a website. On the left hand pane there is a link called "Footy Goss" and down near the bottom it has a link named "Bomber trouble"..clicking on the link reveals this:

Bomber problems

IS it crisis time for Essendon? With the club spririts down as Kevin Sheedy battles with his team's worst losing streak in recent memory, Windy Hill is leaking like a Dockers board meeting.

We've heard the Bombers could be bankrupt in eight years if they don't manage to get more than an average of 43000 people to their Colonial home games.

But on a brighter note for the struggling Bombers it has been reported to australianrules.com that the AFL is considering a proposal from Ron Evans that the stadium be renamed The Graeme McMahon Stadium. Evans has denied that there is any conflict of interest but agrees that with the likelihood of multiple club demises in Melbourne, Colonial Stadium could end up being owned by the Essendon Football Club.

It may have been written 4 years ago.

The figures seem to be very good, so I don't know where this is coming from..and I don't think we'll ever own Docklands.

I can't decide if it's just extremely novice journalism, attempted humour with the graeme mcmahon bit, or both.

Just out of interest, what is our average for colonial home games, it'd be about 43k wouldn't ?

We're nearly there...42,018 EDIT: There would be a small number of away games in the list below, but not that many.
