Bombers by 34 Points. Not Convincing.

The bombers have beaten Carlton by 34 Points on Saturday.

At the start of the match we were behind and it looked as though Carlton were playing better but from about Half way through the 1st quarter to the end of the match I think we were the better team. We didn't do well inside 50 and really should have won by more despite the conditions.

Hird was great. Fletcher again was good in his 200th game. Haynes did well.

I think it was pure luck we didn't get buried in the second quarter. Considering we were playing the worst team in the league, that quarter was **** poor, luckily we redeemed ourselves in the second half, and I'm just glad we got that one out of the way and got the 4 points

Its Round 18. I don't care if we win convincing or not at this stage. All that matters to us is the points. The next two games will be about consolidation. I would hope that we really hit our straps by the Freo game in Round 21 to mount a significant challenge in the finals.

Well we didn't play well and our excuse would be the conditions. The wind made it hard for both teams. The match against Fremantle at Telstra Dome will be a very important match. Against Freo and Collingwood we really need to hit the top in our form.
