Bomber's interview

Who selects these uncommitted players one might ask?

Themselves on reputation. They had to produce a performance like this to understand what the problem was. If Thompson recognised that a few key and respected players weren't 'commited' and dropped them or didnt select them, it could possibly unsettle the team even more and divided the playing group.

Now that he has said this publicly, players will be more intensified and commited to their performances. If they dont improve immediatly, then they will get dropped and people will understand.

We don't want Bomber to drill the players this week, because he will continually pick them. Send them to the two's, who care's about ego's, who is stronger, the PLAYER or THE CLUB???

I like what happened with the Lions, Matthews didn't drill them about their wayward kicking last weekend, he left it up to them to make it right and they delivered with a very accurate display vs Carlton on Saturday night.

Drilling the players (IMO) won't achieve much, a calm, direct discussion may be more effective.

In all respect Ricardo, I reckon Bomber has attempted that approach but hasn't really worked. You can see the frustration in Thompson when he has talk to the media. I reckon he is getting sick of it more then the players.
