Lets keep Bomber - Here's why -

First premiership win of any kind in 43 years - against a very, very good side at their home ground.

Thompson's strength is the way he relates to players and develops the young players. This is still a young squad - and with Varcoe, Hawkins and another young talented player joining next year - a coach who develops players is important for at least one more year.

He's got a contract. I know this might seem corny - but I think that the fact that Geelong is not like Richmond or other clubs that sack coaches is to be admired.

The most important thing to me is that Thompson wants the job and has belief. If he doesn't, then I think he'll fall on his sword. If he does - one more year. My gut feeling is that if we change now none of the other coaches likely to be on offer would do better next year.

The bastard has had 7 frickin years and done NOTHING! A practice match cup is pathetic. Im sure as hell not signing up next year if that fool is still coach, i don't want any part of the Geelong Fooball Club embracing mediocrity and being too gutless to make necessary changes. It's been going too long.
