Don't normally like players getting their own threads, but this is surely an exception.

Green's fantasy performances so far have been shithouse

Surely the captaincy can't have this bad an effect on someone?! Saw him live tonight and he got beat nearly every time the ball went near him.

Last year he was All Australian with 56 goals IIRC and with Melbourne supposed to be on the rise, I expected even better from him this year.

6 games into the year (5 for Melbourne), he is averaging 15 disposals a game and has kicked 6 goals for the year.

Role change? Age catching up with him (he's currently 30)? He was a very good player when Melbourne were on the bottom of the ladder a few years ago, so their poor form can't be used as an excuse can it?

Melbourne haven't been performing as well this year and it is reflected in his scores. From what I have seen he has been playing reasonably well, but it is difficult to score well in a losing side.

Could be a nice F7 in a couple of week's time and with the Dees dodgy performance he'll probably go back into a more familiar role. Played defensive role on Hurn last night, not sure how Melbourne think they'll win doing that.

Was a terrible choice for captain! They should of gone with Beamer and I was blown away they went with Green.

I would hold onto him because you would think he would be thrown to half back sometime soon.

Beamer showed everyone thru urine gate why he wasn't picked as captain.

Green is having a shithouse start to the season, one of our worst performed players every week. As someone else mentioned he will score better when moved back to the fwd line in an attacking role permanently, but with the worlds most incompetent sporting coach at the helm fk knows when that'll be.
