Yes, Lyon kicked 4 goals according to the 1991 AFL Year Book. Kerrison kicked 1 himself, and was named 2nd best for Victoria. Monkhorst also played, as did Wright, Barwick, Manson and Alexander (who kicked 4!) for Tasmania. Manson (1st), Wright and Alexander were in their team's best players.Agree, Kerro was more than handy as a tagging defender.
I think Ross Lyon may have played in that Victoria team too!
Fair enough did not know thatThat Victorian team played Tasmania in Hobart on June 24 1990. Two days later (26 June) Victoria played WA in Perth (they won that game easily). None of the players who played in the first game were in the team for the next one, and given that the WA clash would have been seen as the "main game" it's quite reasonable to say that the team that played Tasmania was a 2nd string lineup. The 1st team had most of the superstars like Daicos, Brereton, Silvagni, Weightman, Stoneham and Madden in it.
Kerrison was a good honest player, but when I look at that side and see the likes of Michael Gallagher, Barry Young and Brendan Bower played, it does look as if they gave a game to almost anyone who put their hands up!
He did in his first season (playing as an 18-19 year old), with 25 goals from 18 games: https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/C/Colin_Alexander.htmlFair enough did not know that
And colin Alexander played the game of his life for tasmania kicking 4 goals.
Did he ever look the goods for the pies ?

Interesting if a player like say ATU kicked 25 goals this season we would all be calling him the next best thing. He did in his first season (playing as an 18-19 year old), with 25 goals from 18 games: https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/C/Colin_Alexander.html

I'd say with Francis and Russell coming in after that he just didn't get much of an opportunity, and he wasn't seen a lot after that, though I can't remember if he had any injury issues as well. He did have one 4-goal haul for Collingwood (in that first year - against Melbourne).
For sure. He was even our 2nd highest goalscorer in his debut season: https://afltables.com/afl/stats/1989.html#4Interesting if a player like say ATU kicked 25 goals this season we would all be calling him the next best thing.
Shame didn't kick on with it.
I cant recall ever seeing him at.
Went to the bears for a bit too
