2 tonnes in 2 games coming off a monster county season... surely has to be next in line for a batting spot in the 1 day side...

But if past selections are anything to go by he's got no chance cos he's victorian and not from new south wales or queensland...

He's had a good couple of years, but that hasn't got him a spot in the Aussie team yet.

He needs a NSW passport.

I'd love to see Brad in the Aussie team, but i think he needs to be more consistent before being given a go.

Having said that, he should be considered before the likes of Jimmy Maher.

County form is close to irrelevant for selection in the Australian sides as most Australian players do very well in that competition.

However, his 2 centuries so far are significant and he is a fair chance to make his international debut in the one-dayers this season.

Hodge is a gun and has been for a number of years now.

However, it is only a matter of time before the selectors go for youth in the ODI's, and Hodge isn't getting any younger (29 in December).

I'd like to see him ahead of Maher, who is an average batsman and takes a long time to get his runs.
