Brad Pearce???

Sorry if this has been done already.

I was watching my video of the 1995 Carlton Vs Geelong Grand Final and saw a promising firsy year player by the name of Brad Pearce. He took some good marks and bagged four goals. I also remember a few other games were he took some good marks and kicked some goals. Anyway I was just wondering why Brad left the game so young. Was it due to injuries? Or was he delisted?

Both I think. After 95 he had a bad trot with injury (legs I think ?), never really got back to his form of 95, and was delisted.

I think he was the grandson or great grandson of Sir Eric Pearce ?!

Trained with Richmond after delisting hoping for a spot on their list , has some connection to Matthew Richardson somehow.
Now owns the Hi-Fi bar in Swanston St Melbourne and dosent seem to do alot of fitness work.

so the rumours go....

he was caught up in some bedroom drama (or was that M. Jackson)... proved to be a bit of an off field distraction, and was abandoned.

I loved watching Pearce, bagged 5 here and there, always led to the flanks which at times was frustrating, but he never lived up to his potential........but then again either did I (under 16s 2nd 18 for Upper Woy Woy South ... but I had huge potential)
