Never understood the love for this bloke, drafted no.7 in the 2009 draft. Has shown in parts of games that he can run and create but never strings more than one good game together. Whilst in Sydney and in Fremantle we have blokes by the name of Lewis Jetta and Nat Fyfe running around. Gets a free ride from Worsfold, hopefully under a new regime he'll get a big rocket or a trade elsewhere.

How many threads are you going to make? Sheppard has been played as a defender, which is not his strongest position. Not our worst and definitely not worth a roast.

Look at the senior players. That's where our worries should be focussed.

Wasn't the worst, but he's certainly not a defender and he needs the team to play well to exhibit his game.

I think he`s tried hard and made a few errors which can be expected but improving all the time.

I remember during draft week we were looking like we would take Lucas or Jetta. Then a day or two before the draft there was word being reported the Eagles had shifted to Sheppard. During his first pre season they were even talking him up for rising star.

Never understood why we decided to shift and what the thought process behind it was. With what Jetta has already achieved and his pace and how Lucas is really coming along this year, sadly this decision is going to haunt us for years to come.

I think the problem is that he and a few others have not developed greatly. several years a professional footballer and he can not hold a tackle or defend.
