On that point, I hope you didn't get a wireless keyboard and mouse, they will quickly disappear.

And your planning on getting rid of your PC in a year!!! Geez, which I could afford to do that on such a regular basis.
I don't usually plan it, but that often happens. At the very least I upgrade chip/ram/mobo and cobble together a PC or upgrade someone elses with my parts.

I don't like wireless kb/mouse. Don't like replacing batteries and they mess up as the batteries fail.

The 16x have only just recently arrived and seeing as only 8x media is available, I think 12x dual-layer is plenty fast.

Thanks for the money Zeke. I had the guys use it as a base to destroy the balance of trade figures but I think they need more capital. Could you join a couple of more times to help us out?

I've got a 48x CD burner and I still only burn at 16x most of the time, I find that you can run into problems even when using the good quality CD's. DVD's are probably even worse when it comes to burning so the slower the better really, that's if you've got the time of course :p

I probably only burn it at a slower speed because my old machine had trouble keeping up!!! I'm using a P3-733 now so could get away with bumping up the speed, but honestly it doesn't worry me that much. 16x is enough time to go grab something from the kitchen and have it finished for when you get back :D
