Marsh wasn't an unknown player, There were several clubs that saw so much in him and the go home factor was one of the reasons Coll signed him to a longer deal.

Marsh was passed over by literally every club, was one of the last picked in the whole draft... very much a development player. Similarly, they extended Witts' contract before he played a senior game. Not sure his comment was worth a 'lol'.
In any case, no rush to extend his contract, can do it next year as is normal.

Marsh was also considered a top 10 pick at on stage.
No idea why no one picked him up earlier.
The club extended Marsh's contract by 3 years after his first season.

Agree Marsh's kicking is woefully bad and that is why he was overlooked. It will cost him any hope of a career if he cannot sort it out.

There's every chance the club didn't diagnose it as broken and thought it was just a corkie.
Balme thought he was diagnosed as dead and was going to tell us all that he was taking a bit longer than we had hoped for.

"It's certainly short term but most likely medium term and there's a chance he'll be out longer than that but hopefully he's back sooner and there's a chance that we'll see him in the not too distant future so we have our fingers crossed for that. In any case we expect him to be back sooner than we hoped... hopefully."
